Florida wanted a recount. What the Gators got was a 90-minute review of the shot put results that they were protesting, but the NCAA track and field committee finally ruled against Florida on Saturday, leaving Texas A&M a repeat winner of the men's title at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field.

Mo Trafeh won the USA 15K in Jacksonville, Florida on March 13 in 42:58, defeating Tim Nelson (who'd also been 2009's runner-up) by 54 seconds. Trafeh also won an Equalizer bonus by crossing the finish ahead of women's champ Katie McGregor, who'd had a 5:00 head start with the other elite women.

Mohamed Trafeh (Duarte, Calif.)took control from the gun to win his first ever U.S. title, running 42 minutes, 57 seconds Saturday at the USA 15 km Championships in Jacksonville, Florida. After finishing as runner-up the previous two years, Katie McGregor (Saint Louis Park, Minn.)easilytook the Women's title in 49:50.

The No. 6 ranked Florida State women dominated the 6k run at the WakeMed Soccer Park cross country field Saturday morning with its third-consecutive first place finish at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship. Securing three top 10 finishes, including Susan Kuijken’s third consecutive ACC title, and two more ‘Noles in the top 15, FSU scored 37 points to win the crown. Florida State’s men also ran an impressive 8k run, taking third place with a score of 72 points while freshmen Wes Rickman highlighted the day for the ‘Noles as he was named 2009’s ACC Male Freshman of the Year.

Defending men's Champion Andrew Carlson (Flagstaff, Ariz.) takes on a field that includes eight Olympians at the USA 15 km Championships this Saturday in Jacksonville, Fla. This marks the 16th year that the championships have been hosted by the Gate River Run. Set to challenge Carlson for the title will be 2008 Olympians Jorge Torres (Boulder, Colo.), Ian Dobson (Mammoth Lakes, Calif.), and Anthony Famiglietti (Knoxville, Tenn.) as well as 2004 Olympian and 2000 15 km champion Dan Browne (Beaverton, Ore.).
