Martin Lel, 31, of Kenya has won the Inaugural Rock 'n' Roll Mardi Gras Half-Marathon in the men's field with a time of 1 hour, 1 minute and 7 seconds. Martin Lel won the Rock 'n' Roll Mardi Gras Half Marathon on Sunday.Sammy Wanjiru, also of Kenya, finished 26 seconds behind Sunday. Lel pushed for the lead over Wanjiru at the15K marker.

Koenck begins to cross a road when an approaching car unexpectedly veers into a turn lane, rolling over Koenck's left foot.
