Torrence ran 4:04.0 and Pierce was timed in 4:33.9. In his last two appearances at the ING New York City Marathon, he was eighth in 2008 in 2:14:30 and 10th in 2009 in 2:14:39. Lehmkuhle was second in the 2008 USA Half-Marathon in 1:02:32. In 2009, he was third in the USA 20K in 59:04 and fourth in the USA 10 Mile in 47:16. Lehmkuhle was ninth in the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials in 2:16:27. In the women's 8km championship race, Emily Brown was the first Team USA Minnesota finisher across the line in seventh place with a time of 26:55, followed by Katie McGregor in ninth in 27:08.
