Carlsbad’s Cavemen and Cavegirls both stepped up to win the Roswell Invitational Cross Country Meet Saturday morning in Roswell. Andrew Henson placed second with a 16:41 to lead the young Cavemen to a win over the other five teams competing. Goddard’s Billy Quiroz won the race with a time of 16:07.

The words “Land of Enchantment” adorns automobile license plates and is used frequently in state publications to promote tourism.
