Six Team USA Minnesota athletes will be in competitions over the Labor Day weekend with Katie McGregor up first at the Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon in Virginia Beach on Aug. 31. McGregor, who has a half marathon best of 1:12:52, will be joined by teammate Carrie Tollefson who will have broadcast duties at the event.

Guidant Corporation and Runner's Soul Running Club are proud to present the 2nd annual Guidant Heart of Summer 5K and 10K which raises awareness of women's cardiovascular health. The events will take place at Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis on Saturday, August 20, 2005. The women's 10K field will include several top American women including four-time Olympian Colleen De Reuck, Minnesota native and 2004 Olympian Carrie Tollefson, two-time Olympians Jen Rhines and Elva Dryer and the 2003 Twin Cities Marathon Champion Blake Russell.
