Its been a roller coaster ride starting back in late March, ending with the World Athletic Final and resulting in the second fastest time of the year (1:57). We got to catch up with Maggie to talk about the year, what she's taken from it and where she wants to go from here. She's become part of a strong group of American mid-distance women that have really made it exciting to be a fan of track and field in the US. We look forward to more from Ms. Vessey in 2010.

Later that month, she finished fourth at the U.S. Championships and two weeks later upset American champ Hazel Clark to win the Grand Prix Gala in Rome.Now, it looks like her fairytale summer will continue as a member of the U.S. team at the IAAF World Athletics Championships next month after another surprising victory at the Herculis International Athletics Meeting in Monaco on Tuesday.
