The hills and warm temperatures will play a role in dwindling the size of both packs from the 10-18-mile marks, where as little as 3-5 men and 2-3 women will remain vying for the top prize. Certainly, a bold surge by a courageous competitor in either race, is possible, but the most likely scenario is that both races will be determined in the final 3-6 miles.
